ECP To Prepare For The Next General Elections

Due to the political upheaval that took on Sunday in National Assembly. Prior to the dissolving of the assembly and rejecting of the no-trust confidence motion. PM Imran Khan urges the nation to get ready for the next general election.  ECP is preparing for the polls, as reported.  

A senior executive said that the general elections would be expected to take in six months. Due to the number of seats increased in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the 26th amendment, the new delimitation of the constituencies will be challenging. He also said that the preparations of ballot papers, election matters, appointments, and training of the polling members are among the biggest challenges being faced.

During a talk at the governor’s house, PM said, he has been targeted by the Americans in a ‘threat letter’ under a “foreign conspiracy”. Further, he added, all those being part of this are traitors. 

He added that this has been an attempt to dilute democracy in overthrowing his government. He urged the nation to gather at Fatima Jinnah Park to speak against the opposition and conspiracy. Also, he said to protest every day to get America’s attention. Additionally, he asked what democracy has been practicing in the country. In which governments are overthrown by buying members of NA.
