For Pakistan’s peace and security, everyone must do their share: Muqam

For the sake of the nation’s peace and security, everyone must fulfill their responsibilities, according to Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON Engr. Amir Muqam on Friday.

At the Pashtun-o-Mustahkam Pakistan Convention, Amir Muqam spoke to a sizable crowd and hailed the Pashtun community as the “strength and pride of Pakistan,” emphasizing their historical sacrifices for the establishment, defense, and security of the nation. He restated the community’s unwavering dedication to preserving the honor of the flag.

He praised the Pashtuns as Pakistan’s pride and backbone, saying they will never let the flag fall. He pointed out that their historic sacrifices for the establishment of the country and its ongoing stability are inscribed in Pakistan’s history.

He claimed that during the referendum held prior to independence, Pashtuns proudly and resolutely chose Pakistan as their new homeland. “Pakistan has always been protected by the Pashtun land and its courageous people, starting in 1947,” he said.

He said that in the early Kashmir war, Pashtun tribes fought alongside the Pakistan Army, advancing on foot with scant supplies to liberate what is now Azad Jammu and Kashmir. “As a testament to their love for Pakistan, their blood is buried on the mountains of Kashmir,” he continued.

He claimed that when it came to protecting national security or fighting terrorism, Pashtuns never shied away from defending Pakistan’s borders. “To defend every square inch of this country, our courageous Pashtun soldiers in the Pakistan Army, police, and paramilitary forces have made unforgettably great sacrifices,” he remarked.

For protecting Pakistan’s borders and preserving national unity during a delicate time, Amir Muqam lavished praise on Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, describing him as a leader of extraordinary bravery, discipline, and strategic vision.

He added that in addition to being a superb statesman and administrator, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has demonstrated his ability to lead the country by bolstering diplomatic standing, restoring the economy, and providing unwavering support for the military.

“The solid alliance between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and General Asim Munir is the reason Pakistan is now gaining respect and recognition on a global scale,” he continued.

He harshly criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for putting one person’s political ambitions ahead of the province’s well-being. He claimed that the government’s role is to serve all Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents, not just to protect one individual. “Please refrain from exploiting Pashtuns’ name and sacrifices for selfish ends.”

He asserted that rather than being exploited by political actors, Pashtun youth should have access to education, work, and a tranquil atmosphere. “The government should provide public service, not just slogans, if it really represents Pashtuns,” he continued.

The minister declared the establishment of a special committee to address the main problems Pashtuns in Pakistan confront. He reiterated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) dedication to defending the Pashtun community’s rights and dignity.

Pakistan has always had the support of Pashtuns. The minister stressed that Pakistan must now support Pashtuns, highlighting the community’s steadfast allegiance and the necessity of mutual aid.

“A strong Pakistan is impossible without strong Pashtuns,” he stated, reinforcing unity and national solidarity. Pakistan and Pashtuns have a common future and a common heart.

He promised that Pashtuns would always fly the national flag with pride.
