Former PTI leaders collaborate for the ‘Release Imran Khan’ initiative.

Confidential revelations regarding a meeting between senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and many former PTI members at a hospital have emerged.

Party insiders disclosed that the former PTI leadership has consented to initiate a campaign entitled ‘Release Imran Khan’, focused on obtaining the release of the party’s founder.

Sources indicate that notable individuals anticipated to participate in the campaign comprise Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Moulvi, Sibtain Khan, among others. The previous leadership allegedly made substantial decisions concerning initiatives for Imran Khan’s release, which included establishing communication with the authorities and convening with senior leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).

Sources said that all parties concurred on diminishing political tensions nationwide. The former PTI leaders intend to confer with Imran Khan and are aggressively pursuing the release of Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

Insiders report that the conference participants endeavoured to encourage Qureshi to engage in discussion to address political issues and mitigate the nation’s intense political atmosphere. Discussions focused on Qureshi’s potential role in facilitating the normalisation of political discourse and reinstating stability.

Sources within the party said that the old PTI leaders perceive the present PTI leadership as incapable of facilitating Imran Khan’s release. In the meeting, the group also encountered former senator Ejaz Chaudhry, ex-provincial minister Mian Mahmood ur Rashid, and former Punjab governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema, with the nation’s political predicament prominently included on the agenda.

It was additionally resolved that former PTI members would contact government ministries. A three-member delegation, headed by Fawad Chaudhry, is scheduled to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman to deliberate on methods to alleviate political tensions.

Fawad Chaudhry informed the media that discussions had already occurred with Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Ejaz Chaudhry, and other PTI leaders. He stated that initiatives to obtain the release of political prisoners have received the endorsement of the PTI leadership.
