Thousands experience power outages following Russian assaults on the frontline sector, according to Ukraine.

Approximately 60,000 individuals experienced a power outage during Russia’s overnight aerial assault on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia frontline region, while two fatalities were reported in the southern district of Odesa, according to Ukrainian authorities on Sunday.
With the approach of winter, Russia has intensified missile and drone assaults on Ukraine’s electrical infrastructure, resulting in disruptions and compelling Kyiv’s emergency teams to expedite repairs and oversee rolling blackouts.
The assault in Zaporizhzhia resulted in two injuries and reduced structures to debris, according to regional governor Ivan Federov via the Telegram messaging application.
“Teams will reinstate power as soon as the security conditions permit,” Fedorov stated on Telegram, where he shared nocturnal images of structures with facades and windows stripped away.
Zaporizhzhia experiences near-daily Russian artillery, missile, and drone assaults that have devastated residences, incapacitated utilities, and resulted in numerous fatalities, as Moscow intensifies pressure on Ukraine’s defences and destroys connections between its southern region and the remainder of the nation.
Fedorov reported that the overnight assault injured two individuals. Over the 24 hours leading to Sunday morning, Russia conducted 800 strikes on 18 settlements in the region, resulting in one fatality and three injuries, he stated.
According to Ukraine’s state emergency service on Telegram, two individuals perished due to Russia’s nocturnal drone assault on Odesa, located on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast.
The death toll from a Russian airstrike that ignited a shop in the Dnipropetrovsk region on Saturday has increased to four, including two boys aged 11 and 14, according to the territory’s acting governor.
Russia did not provide an immediate response about the attacks.
Both parties refute allegations of civilian targeting in the war initiated by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022; yet, thousands have perished in the battle, predominantly Ukrainians.
