The Punjab government will implement a stringent prohibition on wall chalking throughout the province.

Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, instructed the relevant authorities to implement a stringent prohibition on wall chalking throughout the state.
She has resolved to convert pervasive encroachments throughout Punjab into aesthetically pleasing and pristine barriers.
Authorities reported that, under her directives, an exceptional and unprecedented beautification plan will be executed in every city for the first time in history.
It was said that the walls of governmental and private edifices throughout the province will be cleansed by eliminating wall chalking.
They stated that 132 beautifying projects would be finalised in 39 districts of Punjab for Rs 16.5 billion, noting that work has already commenced on 122 of these programs.
The Chief Minister of Punjab was informed by relevant authorities that the completion of beautification projects in Lahore, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sargodha, Gujarat, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi is scheduled for June 2026.
They informed her that projects in Multan are anticipated to be finalised by November, those in Gujranwala by the conclusion of December, while 24 beautification initiatives in Sahiwal will be done by March 2026.
They stated that in addition to the enhancement of roads and marketplaces in each city, tuff tiles will also be laid, as improvement and beautification will render key markets aesthetically pleasing and appealing.
They stated that ancient gates and traditional markets in many cities would be aesthetically enhanced by renovation.
