PPP joins ‘political theater’ over the 27th Amendment, which Asad Qaiser criticizes.

Asad Qaiser, the PTI politician and former speaker of the National Assembly, has attacked the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), saying it is involved in a “political drama” over the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which he says has already been determined.
Speaking at a press conference with representatives of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan, Qaiser claimed that the government had “opened the Pandora’s box” of the 27th Amendment, which is why the opposition had called an emergency meeting today.
He called the recent tweet from Bilawal Bhutto “deeply concerning” and claimed that the PPP was “playing along in this show.” He claimed that the purpose of the amendment was to “fool the people” and that its conclusion was planned.
“There was once a PPP of Benazir Bhutto, who gave her life for democracy, and a PPP of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who laid the foundation of the Constitution,” Qaiser said, criticizing the PPP’s political change. However, the PPP of today is determined to bury democracy.
He remarked, mockingly, “Where is your slogan ‘vote ko izzat do’ now? Kneeling down doesn’t give you any power.
Qaiser added that PTI has discussed its suggestions with the party founder and that, should a meeting be held, a press release would be issued.
In order to uphold the primacy of democracy and the Constitution, he pledged to bring up the matter in Parliament and also advocate for the people.
