Jammu Martyrs’ Day is being commemorated today.

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and globally are commemorating Jammu Martyrs’ Day today (Thursday) to reaffirm their commitment to pursue the martyrs’ mission until the attainment of their fundamental right to self-determination.

Kashmir Media Service reports that the armies of Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh, the Indian Army, and Hindutva RSS extremists killed hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris during their migration to Pakistan in the first week of November 1947.

Conversely, posters have emerged in several regions of Indian unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling upon the populace to commemorate the Jammu martyrs on the anniversary of their martyrdom.

Each year, Kashmiris residing on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and globally commemorate November 6 as Jammu Martyrs’ Day to honor the victims of the Jammu massacre and reaffirm their commitment to pursue the mission of their martyrs until the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

Leaders and organizations of the APHC, in their declarations in Srinagar, honored the Jammu martyrs, asserting that their sacrifice will not be in vain. The victims of Jammu sacrificed their lives for a noble cause, and their unparalleled sacrifices will not be forgotten.

Leaders and organizations stated that the tragic genocide of Muslims in Jammu in 1947 was one of the most significant atrocities in history, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

They asserted that the most effective manner to honor the martyrs was to persist in their cause until it achieved its logical conclusion.
