On Tuesday, President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his profound sadness and grief at the crash of a Turkish military aircraft close to the Georgian border with Azerbaijan. President Zardari conveyed his sympathies to the Turkish people and his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The president said in a statement that he prayed for the Turkish personnel who were killed in the disaster to be promoted. He claimed that Pakistan shared the Turkiye’s sorrow on an equal basis. “Pakistan and Turkey support each other through every trial,” he continued. It is important to note that all 20 people on board a Turkish Air Force C-130 aircraft perished in a collision close to the Georgian border with Azerbaijan. Shortly after taking off, the aircraft crashed in the border area.
