Senate honours the late Senator Irfan Siddiqui

On Wednesday, the Senate held an emotional memorial for the late Senator Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui. Both treasury and opposition politicians praised his work in politics, journalism, and education.

Senator Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister, moved the Resolution before the House. He added that Irfan Siddiqui was well-known as a popular columnist and the author of many books.

He worked closely with PML-N in politics, where he was an important thinker and special advisor on national affairs to Nawaz Sharif.

Irfan Siddiqui was also the Chairman of the Senate Standing Committees on Education and Foreign Affairs and the Parliamentary Party Leader of PMLN.

He received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz award in 2014 for his outstanding work in journalism, literature, and public service.

People will remember Irfan Siddiqui’s work for a long time, and they will be very sad about his death.

The House sent its heartfelt condolences to the family who lost someone.
