The federal cabinet has sanctioned amendments to the Pakistan Army, Air Force, and Navy Acts.

The federal cabinet, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has sanctioned revisions to the Pakistan Army Act, Pakistan Air Force Act, and Pakistan Navy Act.
At the cabinet meeting, the prime minister expressed gratitude to all ministers for their assistance in enacting the 27th Constitutional Amendment, while the ministers applauded him with a standing ovation in celebration.
The amendments aim to synchronize the armed services’ legislation with the 27th Constitutional Amendment, as stated officially. The amended legislation will eliminate the position of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee following the retirement of the current chairman.
The revisions include establish new honorary titles, such as Field Marshal, Marshal of the Air Force, and Admiral of the Fleet.
The cabinet also sanctioned the draft of the Federal Constitutional Court (Procedure and Practice) Act, 2025, and endorsed the resolutions made during the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting on November 7, 2025.
