Weather update for Balochistan, November 16, 2025

The Meteorological Department said on Sunday that Quetta and the northern areas of Balochistan were hit by a wave of extreme cold.
The Met Office reports that Quetta’s minimum temperature fell to -2°C, while daytime highs are predicted to reach about 20°C.
According to the department’s prognosis, the next 24 hours will see dry, extremely cold weather.
Most regions of the province are anticipated to remain dry, but northern sections of Balochistan are forecast to face strong cold, the Met Office added.
Over the next twelve hours, most of the country is predicted to experience mostly dry weather.
However, in hilly regions, frigid weather is forecast, with extremely cold morning and nighttime temperatures. A few plain parts of Punjab may see the development of smog, which is characterised by patches of shallow fog in the morning and at night.
Temperature of major cities observed this morning: Islamabad seven degree centigrade, Lahore twelve, Karachi seventeen, Peshawar eight, Quetta minus-one, Gilgit minus-two while Murree and Muzafarabad five degree centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir states that Leh will have extremely cold and dry conditions, while Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula will experience cold and dry conditions.
This morning’s observed temperatures were minus one degree Celsius in Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramula, eleven degrees Celsius in Jammu, minus six degrees Celsius in Leh, and zero degrees Celsius in Anantnag.
