Sania Zahra’s murder case: husband given death sentence, in-laws given life sentence

In a significant ruling in the well-known Sania Zahra murder case, a Multan sessions court sentenced her husband, Ali Raza, as the primary offender, to death.
Additional Sessions Judge Mohsin Ali Khan delivered the decision. The victim’s mother-in-law, Azra Parveen, and brother-in-law, Haider Raza, were also given life sentences by the court.
The main defendant, Ali Raza, appeared in court handcuffed and in police custody. Three other suspects, including the victim’s sister-in-law, Dua Zahra, the previous wife of Ali Raza, Madiha, and father-in-law, Jeevan Shah, were acquitted in the meantime.
Shehryar Ahsan and Mian Rizwan Sattar, the complainant’s attorneys, pursued the case and made closing arguments. Advocate Ziaur Rehman Randhawa represented the defense, and Deputy Prosecutor Mian Bilal Naeem represented the prosecution.

Six suspects, including her husband, brother-in-law, and mother-in-law, were named in the complaint that was filed at the New Multan Police Station after the finding.
