A new digital payment method is introduced by BISP.

Social Protection Wallets were introduced by the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) to allow its registered recipients to get their financial aid straight into digital wallets that are based on mobile devices.
The social safety net has started giving away free SIM cards to as many qualified women as possible in order to achieve this goal. Over 5,747 free mobile SIM cards were distributed in more than 30 districts in the first day. This effort aims to provide women with direct, transparent, and dignified financial access.
All upcoming payments will be conducted using these SIMs, with the first phase starting in 41 districts on November 17. Women who qualify have been told to take extra care to protect these SIMs.
On November 24, the second phase will start in 53 districts. Each tehsil will have at least one camp site set up during this phase. At least two camp sites will be established in each tehsil during the third phase, which will begin in 52 districts on December 1.
Women must bring their original cell phone and identity card. Only after biometric authentication will the SIM be made available. Up to December 31st, qualified women can get free SIM cards from BISP offices or approved camp locations. BISP will activate the Social Protection Wallet on the SIM after it is issued. There will be less chance of fraud or human interference after the wallet is activated.
