Sheikh Rashid requests that the government permit meetings with Imran Khan.

Everyone should be able to meet PTI founder Imran Khan, according to Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League and a former interior minister.

Ahmed told reporters outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) that permitting jail meetings would not make a difference. He went on to say that since poverty and inflation are already crippling the populace, the government need to concentrate on making things better all around.

He said that despite not even being in the nation at the time, he was the target of the May 9 cases.

The former minister added that others, including his nephew Rashid Shafiq, had been sentenced to as long as 40 years. He emphasized that the nation must be guided in the direction of progress.
