Punjab gives workers’ children a Rs. 200,000 marriage payment.

Increasing the marriage and death payments given to the working class is a major measure taken by the Punjab government to assist them.

According to the Labour Department, there has been a 200,000 rupee increase in the marriage grant for workers’ children. It will now be raised to Rs600,000 from its previous amount of Rs400,000.

The death grant, which is given to employees’ heirs after they pass away, has also been raised. The sum has been raised from Rs. 800,000 to Rs. 1,000,000.

According to a government spokeswoman, these policies are intended to enhance the welfare and financial assistance of the working class, enabling them to more easily handle important life events.
