PTI Denies Rumours About Imran Khan’s Health, Demands Official Clarification

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday strongly dismissed rumours circulating about the health and well-being of former Prime Minister and party founder Imran Khan. The party said that a wave of “malicious and baseless” claims about Khan’s condition is being pushed by Afghan and Indian media outlets, creating unnecessary panic. PTI called on the government and the Interior Ministry to immediately issue a clear denial and to allow Khan’s family an urgent meeting with him to settle the matter. PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram urged authorities to release an official statement confirming Imran Khan’s health and safety. He also demanded that those responsible for spreading the rumours be identified, investigated and held accountable. According to him, the public “will not accept any uncertainty” regarding their leader. Akram added that it is the government’s duty to ensure Khan’s protection and uphold his fundamental rights. He said PTI will pursue every legal and political option to shut down the false reports and make the truth known to the nation.
