Adiala Jail’s security is on high alert.

A specific security plan for increased security around the Adiala Jail has been issued, and it will be in place indefinitely, according to police sources. On the Adiala Jail Road, five more checkpoints have been installed.
According to sources, more staff would be sent to Gorakhpur, Factory Naka, Gate 1, Gate 5, and the Dahgal checkpoint. Two 12-hour shifts have been established for police officers and staff. Additionally, female police officers and SHOs from 12 police stations will continue to serve.
In total, about 700 officers and staff will continue to be on duty to ensure Adiala Jail’s external security. The Adiala Guards unit will be on standby, and the security personnel will be outfitted with anti-riot gear. The tasks will be closely overseen by SP Saddar Anum Sher.
Notably, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has declared a protest in front of the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday and warned to disrupt legislative proceedings if he is denied the opportunity to meet with PTI founder Imran Khan.
