In PM Shehbaz’s defamation lawsuit, PA Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan denies PTI founer’s accusations.

Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan recorded a crucial witness statement in the defamation case that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif brought against PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that Imran Khan’s claims were untrue.
Malik Ahmad Khan was called as a witness in the Rs. 10 billion defamation case by Session Judge Lahore Yalmaz Ghani. The speaker gave his statement when he appeared in court today.
The PA speaker claimed in his testimony that Imran Khan had falsely accused Shehbaz Sharif of bribery. He went on to say that the PTI founder made grave accusations in April 2017 that were broadcast on several television networks.
He claimed to be politically connected to Shehbaz Sharif, who served the people as prime minister and chief minister. He added that he believed the accusations made by Imran Khan were a part of a deceptive propaganda effort against Shehbaz Sharif.
Lying and backbiting are completely forbidden in Islam, he continued. Additionally, it is forbidden by religion to fabricate stories against someone. He asserted that the plaintiff had every right to present this claim in court.
Ahmad Hussain, Khan’s attorney, questioned Khan during cross-examination if all of the TV shows the witness had named originated in Punjab. Although not all of them were broadcast from Punjab, Malik Ahmad Khan retorted that they were national shows that were shown on national channels.
Malik Ahmad Khan said that the Panama Papers were a list of people who had offshore investments when asked what the Panama case was.
The attorney also enquired as to whether the PTI founder had submitted a petition over the Panama Papers to the Supreme Court. In response, Malik Ahmad Khan said he was unaware of such a plea.
He claimed he was unaware of the specifics when asked if he was aware that Imran Khan had filed a petition against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and others.
He did concede, though, that Nawaz Sharif’s conviction in the Panama Papers case was accurate.
When the attorney enquired as to whether the plaintiff’s defamation lawsuit was brought solely as a result of that case, Malik Ahmad Khan responded that the idea was untrue.
Following cross-examination, the judge postponed the case until December 13 and called additional witnesses for the upcoming hearing.
Despite the fact that legislative amendments were enacted today, Malik Ahmad Khan told reporters after recording his remarks that he has been promoting these ideas for 15 years. “I’m grateful that Parliament has made its voice heard. “How can Parliament cede its power?” he asked.
He noted that because the case has been pending for seven years, he arrived at court today with a heavy heart. “There is always a commotion when we discuss systemic changes. The Supreme Court does not have the authority to change the Constitution; only Parliament does. Even the IMF report recommends increasing the effectiveness of Parliament.
“Is the PTI founder some special untouchable?” the speaker asked. The same jail manual applied to Shehbaz Sharif. Even home-cooked meals were forbidden to him.
He pointed out that there is no mention of a right to meet with the KP chief minister in the jail handbook. When TLP does something like that on May 9, they are banned. However, judgements like sending a prime minister home and the Panama case have persisted in the past, he continued.
