An Indian soldier drowned in the Indira Gandhi canal during tank exercises in Rajasthan.

An Indian army soldier perished in Sri Ganganagar district, Rajasthan, when a tank submerged in the Indira Gandhi Canal during a standard military drill.
The police reported that the event transpired when two troops were within the tank. One successfully escaped, but the other unfortunately perished by drowning.
During the exercise, armored vehicles and tanks were executing a canal crossing when one tank became immobilized in the middle of the canal and sunk.
Law enforcement, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and civil defense units promptly arrived at the location and, after several hours of endeavor, retrieved the soldier’s remains.
