The last nail in the coffin is Aleema Khan’s conversation with Indian media: Asif Khawaja

On Friday, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the recent interview with Indian media featuring Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, was the last straw for the party.

Khawaja Asif asserted that the PTI leaders extort the Taliban in an interview with a private news outlet. He claimed that the founder of the PTI continuously declined to interact with political figures.

He claimed that the anti-state narrative being spread on social media had never been denounced by PTI.

Additionally, he said, the party had never opposed the lies being disseminated against Pakistan. According to the minister, PTI is the only political party that has ever attacked Pakistan’s existence or integrity.

The defense minister added that Nawaz Sharif had never criticized Pakistan’s existence or integrity in interviews with Indian media.

He went on to say that neither the PML-N nor the PPP used tactics similar to those observed on May 9. Even after the PPP’s leader was executed, they refrained from using May 9th tactics. Even after Benazir Bhutto was killed, the PPP never addressed India.

Khawaja Asif added that despite Nawaz Sharif’s three imprisonments and removals from power, he never crossed any red lines or developed an anti-state narrative.
