Talha Anjum tops the Spotify Pakistan charts.

The 2025 Spotify Wrapped report indicated a growing preference among listeners for the works of Pakistani artists.
The most-streamed songs of 2025 include “Jhol,” “Mand,” and “Pal Pal,” while the album “Safar” achieved the highest position on the albums list.
Hip-hop tracks like “Open Letter” and “My Terrible Mind” garnered significant attention, illustrating the increasing impact of modern and urban music on younger demographics.
Pakistani youth are increasingly drawn to hip-hop music, although traditional and classical musical trends remain stable.
Despite achieving the status of Spotify’s leading local artist, Talha Anjum recently encountered criticism after a fan presented him with an Indian flag at his concert in Nepal.
The incident elicited condemnation from media organizations and certain celebrities. Talha then elucidated that he received the flag solely in deference to the fan and without any political motivation.
Talha underscored that supporters must not conflate their enthusiasm with governmental stances, highlighting that personal appreciation differs from political ideologies or national policies.
