PTI establishes a committee to examine the party charter.

On Wednesday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) established a committee to examine the party’s constitution.

The committee was established, according to a PTI statement, to rectify the party constitution’s shortcomings and bring it into compliance with the constitutions of other political organizations.

According to the statement, the party’s constitution needs to be changed in order to allay the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) concerns.

The statement lists Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Dr. Arif Alvi, Hamid Khan, Asad Qaiser, Rauf Hassan, and Firdous Shamim Naqvi as members of the committee.

Furthermore, according to the PTI statement, plans should be undertaken to hold intra-party elections as soon as feasible.
