Customs confiscates illicit petrol and prime movers valued at Rs190 during a raid in Quetta.

Customs Enforcement Quetta has confiscated 275,000 liters of illicit fuel and two prime movers, collectively valued at Rs190 million, during two significant anti-smuggling operations executed in and around the city. According to a news statement issued on Thursday, a total of 11 cars transporting fuel were intercepted during the coordinated operations. Based on reliable intelligence from the Collector of Customs Enforcement Quetta, enforcement teams, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, executed targeted operations that effectively thwarted substantial smuggling attempts related to diesel transportation and large vehicles. The confiscated diesel, trucks, and prime movers have been detained, and legal actions pursuant to the Customs Act of 1969 are currently under progress. These actions constitute a crucial element of the Collectorate’s enhanced enforcement initiative to combat smuggling and disrupt illicit trade networks throughout the region. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has praised the Quetta Enforcement team and reaffirmed its steadfast dedication to addressing smuggling, illicit trade, and other types of illegal economic activity.
