NATO’s Rutte cautions partners that they are the next target of Russia.

NATO chief Mark Rutte on Thursday implored partners to enhance defense initiatives to avert a conflict initiated by Russia, which might be “comparable to the wars experienced by our grandparents and great-grandparents.”
In a speech in Berlin, Rutte stated that numerous friends of the military alliance do not perceive the severity of Russia’s danger in Europe, emphasizing the necessity to swiftly augment defense expenditure and production to avert a conflict akin to those experienced by previous generations.
We are the next target of Russia. I am concerned that an excessive number are silently complacent. Many fail to perceive the urgency. Many erroneously feel that time favors us. It is not the case. “The moment for action is now,” Rutte stated.
Conflict is imminent. Russia has reintroduced warfare to Europe. “We must be prepared,” he stated.
Rutte stated that Russia may be prepared to employ military force against NATO within five years.
