Elections for the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly are scheduled for January 24, 2026.

The election calendar for the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly has been released after President Asif Ali Zardari gave his permission. The date of the elections is set for January 24, 2026.

The candidates have till December 15 to submit their nomination papers in accordance with the schedule. The nomination papers will be scrutinized between December 23 and December 30.

The electoral tribunal must make a decision on appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers by January 10, 2026. Appeals may be filed until January 3, 2026.

On January 11, the final candidate list will be made public. Election emblems will be distributed by January 13, and candidates may withdraw their candidacy papers on January 12. On January 24, the polling will take place.
