The Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations addresses Comsats students regarding misinformation and national security.

On Thursday, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistani military, conducted a specialized interactive session with faculty and students at Comsats University Islamabad, addressing the nation’s internal circumstances, the proliferation of misinformation and disinformation, and significant national concerns.

The Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided comprehensive answers to participants’ inquiries during the event. Participants subsequently expressed their opinions, honoring the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Armed Forces for the nation. Participants emphasized that the dissemination of unverified material without study can jeopardize national interests, whereas awareness programs effectively combat disinformation.

The DG ISPR urged the youth, referring to them as the future of Pakistan, and stressed that national stability, security, and development necessitate the joint involvement of all citizens alongside the military forces, with institutional unity crucial for eradicating terrorism.
