Christmas is celebrated at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, and the envoy urges interfaith harmony.

The Pakistani Embassy in the United States hosted a unique Christmas ceremony.
Additionally, gifts were given to Christian diplomatic staff members and a cake was cut during the celebration.
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, sent Christmas and New Year’s greetings to the Christian community in the US, Pakistan, and worldwide in a special message on the occasion. Christmas is not just a holiday for Christians, he continued, but it is also a time of joy for people everywhere.
According to him, social, cultural, religious, and other traditions have developed and grown stronger over thousands of years in Pakistan, a multicultural, multilingual, and multiethnic society.
According to the ambassador, emphasizing common principles over differences will not only enhance the here and now but also support peace and interfaith cooperation. Human ties are strengthened by respect for different religions and sharing in each other’s joy.
Muslims truly believe that Christ (peace be upon him) was one of God’s chosen prophets and is deserving of tremendous reverence, according to Rizwan Saeed Sheikh.
He added that, within the framework of universally acknowledged human rights, the United Nations resolutions on interfaith harmony reflect worldwide consensus and deter intolerance. He greeted the Christian community on the wonderful occasion of Christmas once more.
The envoy concluded by wishing for the globe to experience peace, development, and prosperity in 2026 and for the Christmas spirit to endure not just in 2026 but in all the years to come.
