Strict security protocols were implemented for the Christmas and Quaid Day festivities.

The Pakistan Constitutional Protection Movement, or Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan (TTAP), has stated that it is willing to accept the prime minister’s offer of talks, claiming that a new charter is a must for the talks.
TTAP leaders said in a statement released here on Thursday that the Prime Minister’s call for discussions was taken into consideration during the meeting and that it was decided that a new charter is urgently needed to help the nation escape its political and economic crises.
The meeting’s attendees stated that they are prepared for discussion aimed at bolstering constitutional and democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law.
During the alliance meeting, Mahmood Khan Achakzai served as chairman. Asad Qaiser and Vice Chairman Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas were present during the meeting.
The opposition’s two-day national conference was deemed a success at the gathering.
The notification of the meeting stated that on February 8, discussions were held worldwide, including in Pakistan, regarding the plan for a black day and strike.
The opposition alliance declared that they were prepared for transparent elections, parliamentary supremacy under the new charter, and the selection of a unanimous new Election Commissioner.
The declaration states that the founder of the PTI has agreed to sign a new charter if the 1973 constitution, parliamentary, and civilian supremacy are restored.
The notification states that district and provincial subcommittee formation would be revealed shortly.
To guarantee harmony and safety on Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day on Thursday (today), Punjab police have implemented strict security measures.
A Punjab Police spokeswoman stated that 30,000 police officers and other staff will be sent to protect 3,583 churches in the province, including Lahore.
More than 600 Christian houses of worship in the provincial capital will be secured by more than 5,000 police officers and staff.
The Punjab Police official stated that 4,546 metal detectors will be used to inspect churches and 2,832 CCTV cameras will be installed to monitor sensitive churches.
On Quaid-e-Azam Day, around 1,000 police officers would be on duty to ensure the safety of the events.

According to the IG, officials from all ideologies should make sure that interfaith harmony is promoted on Christmas, and the Safe Cities Authority’s cameras should be used to continuously monitor Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas celebrations.
According to him, elite police units, Dolphin Squad, and Peru will provide efficient patrols near churches and Christian communities, while commandos and snipers would be used to secure sensitive churches and significant locations.
According to Dr. Usman Anwar, CTD and Special Branch teams should work with law enforcement to combat terrorists and other undesirable elements.
Before Christmas, flag marches, searches, and sweeps are being carried out around churches and Christian settlements, according to IG Punjab, which has instructed all RPOs, DPOs, and CTOs to keep an eye on traffic and security measures.
All important sites, including as parks, entertainment venues, and foreign embassies, should be secured on Christmas, he warned.
A Punjab Police spokeswoman stated that on Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, female police personnel will also be sent out to check on female people.
