In Karachi, a double-decker bus service was introduced.

On Wednesday, the Sindh government launched its eagerly awaited double-decker bus service, providing locals with a new way to get around.

Minister Nasir Shah and Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon of Sindh opened the service.

Sharjeel Memon was informed by officials about the buses’ salient features during the launch event. The first 22-kilometer route that the double-decker buses would travel is from Malir Halt to Fawara Chowk. The service would cost between Rs. 80 and Rs. 120.

Speaking to the media, Sharjeel Memon reaffirmed the government’s earlier pledge to giving Karachi’s citizens better public transportation. He promised that if the service was successful, more buses would be added and that the buses will begin running the following day.

Memon added that the BRT system was being completed, with the goal of resolving Karachi’s traffic problems by March or April of the next year.
