Motorways in Punjab were momentarily closed due to heavy fog.

In order to protect public safety, authorities in Punjab have temporarily closed a number of roadways due to the extreme fog.
Sections of the M-2, M-3, and M-4 motorways are currently impassable owing to poor visibility, according to a Central Region Motorway spokesperson.
M-2 from Lahore to Kot Momin, M-3 from Faisalabad to Darkhana, M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Gojra, and M-4 from Khanewal to Multan are among the impacted sections. Officials emphasized that in order to save lives and avoid catastrophic catastrophes, these closures are essential.
Since the safest period to travel is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., drivers are encouraged to prioritize daytime travel and rigidly follow lane discipline. Drivers are required to use fog lights, keep a safe distance from oncoming traffic, stop from speeding, and avoid making needless trips.
Road users can call the motorway helpdesk at 130 if they need assistance. When it is safe to travel again, authorities will reopen motorways after continuing to monitor the situation.
