In northern Pakistan, snowfall is getting heavier.

While the weather in Malam Jabba has drawn a lot of tourists, the snowfall in the upper parts of Astore and Hunza has intensified the dry chilly conditions in Gilgit.
Up to two feet of snow had fallen in the upper border areas of Minimarg, Qamari, and the Shankargarh valleys. In addition to Tehsil Yasin, Phandar, and Khunjerab, snowfall is still occurring in the valleys of Rattu, Nasirabad, and Pareshing.
Residents of border districts are stranded because link roads to the upper parts of Astore have been closed due to heavy snow. With up to nine inches of snow recorded in Dotoz, the recent days of nonstop snowfall in Naltar have paralyzed daily life. To take advantage of the cold weather, tourists have descended upon the region.
The local government has cautioned visitors, pointing out that Naltar’s high elevation and slick roads present hazards to automobiles. The Meteorological Department has predicted further snowfall in the upcoming days, and hotel accommodations in Naltar have become limited due to the tourist influx.
Following winter, Malam Jabba’s sunshine attracted sizable throngs of visitors who took advantage of the chairlift rides and picturesque views. The cold has gotten worse in Abbottabad due to snowfall in the upper regions and rain in the lower ones.
The onset of winter has prompted the establishment of roadside shops selling warm clothing and footwear in the Kech district of Balochistan. While traders reported a continuous increase in clients, shoppers noted that inexpensive temporary markets have become a great comfort amid inflation.
