The government is open to negotiations, while the PTI favors public protests: Sanaullah Rana

Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, the prime minister’s political affairs adviser, has stated that the government is ready to engage in political discourse with the opposition and advance democracy.

Speaking on a private television show, Senator Rana Sanaullah stated that the DG ISPR has repeatedly made it clear that the military is not authorized to negotiate with political parties.

Political parties themselves are tasked with engaging in negotiations.

He declared that the government is fully prepared to promote democracy and engage in political discourse with the opposition. It is now up to PTI to decide whether or not to have a conversation. He added that the PTI founder has stated that he wants to start a street movement rather than engage in talks.

According to Rana Sanaullah, the PTI founder has a clear purpose and wants turmoil and disorder in addition to a recurrence of May 9. He asserted that Sohail Afridi, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is acting on the founder’s orders. He added that the public would overwhelmingly reject the PTI’s proposed wheel-jam strike and that it would fail miserably.

Additionally, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s position on Afghanistan is incredibly reckless, abhorrent, and counterproductive to the interests of the country.
