DAMAC Group is invited by CM Maryam Nawaz to invest in the nascent technology sector.

The internationally recognized DAMAC Group has been formally asked by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to investigate business prospects in Punjab.
The chief minister made the offer during a meeting with a high-level delegation from the DAMAC Group, which was headed by Managing Director Ali Hussain Sajwani and CEO Amira Hussain Sajwani. The team was cordially welcomed by Maryam Nawaz Sharif and expressed gratitude for the kind welcome.
During the discussion, all parties discussed strategic investment potential across a range of sectors and agreed to expedite the tokenization process of government and commercial assets. Additionally, a concept for the pilot tokenization of Nawaz Sharif IT City’s commercial assets was examined. The delegation from the DAMAC Group expressed a keen interest in making investments in Punjab.
The chief minister expressed pleasure with Punjab’s acceptance of digital assets and developing technologies, stating that the province is being developed as Pakistan’s entry point for foreign direct investment in sophisticated technologies and digital assets.
According to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is the largest IT and digital economy in Pakistan and contributes 65% of the nation’s IT exports. She pointed out that towns like Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Gujranwala are quickly becoming thriving technology hubs, and that over 25,000 IT graduates join the industry each year.
The government wants to establish Pakistan as a global hub for IT and digital innovation, she continued, emphasizing that now is the best moment to invest in Punjab, a region with plenty of chances for young people.
Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, gave the delegation an update on the CBD Quaid District Master Plan, Serene Tower, a five-star hotel tower, a hyper-retail mall, and other important projects at the event. The briefing also emphasized the enormous tokenization potential in RODA and CBD Punjab, pointing out that Nawaz Sharif IT City and CBD Punjab are essential to the province’s economic development.
