Many motorways in Punjab are closed due to dense fog.

Punjab is still experiencing dense fog, which has forced the closure of multiple motorways in various places to protect the people.

A spokesperson for the Motorways Central Region stated that due to poor visibility brought on by fog, Motorway M-3 has been closed from Jaranwala to Darkhana, Motorway M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem and from Gojra to Abdul Hakeem, and Motorway M-5 from Multan to Zahir Pir and from Multan to Sukkur.

The spokeswoman warned that lane violations in foggy conditions might result in serious accidents and stated that the motorway closures are intended to protect people and property. Road users were advised to adhere to rigorous lane discipline and to travel throughout the day, noting that the best time to travel in fog is between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

In addition, motorway police recommended drivers to use fog lights, minimize needless travel, avoid speeding, keep a safe distance from cars in front of them, and call hotline 130 if they needed support.
