Minister provides a significant update on Punjab’s winter vacations.

Rana Sikandar Hayat, the minister of education for Punjab, has rejected claims that went viral and claimed an extension of the school and college holidays.

He affirmed that on January 12 as scheduled, all of the province’s educational institutions will reopen.

No holiday extensions

The minister underlined that no formal announcement to prolong the winter vacation for colleges and schools has been made. He emphasized that the Education Department had not altered the academic calendar, saying, “The viral notification circulating online is fake.”

All Punjabi schools, colleges, and other educational establishments would start up again on January 12, Rana Sikandar Hayat reaffirmed. Officials have advised staff, parents, and students to adhere to the timetable and disregard false information on social media.
