Inflation increases by 0.12 percent per week and reaches 3.20 percent annually.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), weekly inflation in Pakistan increased by 0.12 percent this week following two weeks of declines. Inflation is currently at 3.20 percent annually.
Twenty-one necessities witnessed price increases, eight saw price decreases, and twenty-two stayed the same, according to the PBS survey.
Eggs had a 1.44 percent decrease, onions a 2.20 percent decrease, potatoes a 3.73 percent decrease, tomatoes a 0.05 percent decrease, bananas a 0.21 percent decrease, chickpeas a 1.51 percent decrease, red lentils a 0.38 percent decrease, and black gram a 0.65 percent decrease.
However, the cost of wheat increased by 5.07 percent, chicken by 2.86 percent, red chili powder by 1.01 percent, garlic by 2.44 percent, tea by 0.73 percent, LPG by 0.88 percent, sugar by 0.58 percent, bread by 0.51 percent, firewood by 0.25 percent, and broken basmati rice by 0.41 percent.

The weekly increase for households making up to Rs17,732 per month was 0.12%, raising the annual inflation rate to 2.45%.
The weekly increase for households earning between Rs17,733 and Rs22,888 was 0.13 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 3.65 percent.
The weekly increase for households earning between Rs22,889 and Rs29,517 was 0.13 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 3.43 percent.
The weekly increase for households earning between Rs29,518 and Rs44,175 was 0.13 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 3.08 percent.
The weekly increase for households earning more than Rs44,176 was 0.11 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 2.58 percent.
According to officials, rising costs for staples like flour and chicken are holding inflation in check for middle-class and upper-class consumers, even though some necessities experienced slight drops.
