The Islamabad administration reports that 16 designated sites functioning throughout the city have issued M-Tags to over 150,000 vehicles thus far. With 2,965 cars acquiring M-Tags in the last 24 hours, the rate of registrations stayed constant over the previous day.According to Memon, vehicles entering or traveling within the city without a valid M-Tag will face consequences starting on January 16. Ensuring adherence to the policy, which was implemented to control vehicle movement and enhance monitoring at entry and departure points, will be the main goal of the enforcement campaign.
The administration has placed M-Tag readers at 12 checkpoints and entry points throughout Islamabad to aid in enforcement. When cars enter the city without M-Tags, these readers will recognize them. According to Irfan Memon, the system is prepared and will be completely functional after the deadline has passed.
Vehicles lacking M-Tags will be halted at checkpoints, according to officials, and additional actions will be taken in accordance with the applicable regulations.
