Six judges of the Peshawar High Court are confirmed by the Judicial Commission

Six more Peshawar High Court judges have been confirmed as permanent judges by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, and four more judges’ terms have been extended by six months.
A provincial minister from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration and members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not attend the commission’s meeting.
Justice Yahya Afridi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, presided over the meeting, according to a statement released following the session.
The commission approved the appointment of Additional Judges Justice Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Justice Abdul Fayaz, Justice Salahuddin, Justice Sadiq Ali, Justice Syed Mudassir Ameer, and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah as permanent judges by a majority vote following a thorough examination of the pertinent data forms, historical records (antecedents), and submitted material.
Four more judges—Justices Farah Jamshed, Inamullah Khan, Sabitullah Khan, and Aurangzeb—also received a six-month extension from the commission.
