In Punjab, KP, fog causes motorway portions to close once more.

On the night between Thursday and Friday, dense fog once again covered a major portion of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seriously delaying traffic and necessitating the closure of some motorway portions owing to extremely low visibility.
In a number of Punjabi and KP cities, the heavy fog has negatively impacted traffic flow. The motorways M1 from Peshawar to Swabi, M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin, M3 from Faizpur to Darkhana, M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Multan, M5 from Multan to Zahir Pir, and M11 from Lahore to Sambrial have all been closed to all traffic, according to a spokesperson for the motorway.
According to a representative for the Motorway Police, the closures were required to safeguard people and property in the face of dangerous weather.
Drivers are urged to rigorously adhere to lane discipline because authorities have cautioned that lane breaches during fog might result in serious accidents. It has been recommended that drivers use fog lights, slow down, and keep a safe distance from cars in front of them.
Travellers have been advised to choose daylight travel if possible. Because visibility is generally greater between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, the Motorway Police have established safe travel times.
The public was also urged by the police to refrain from needless travel and call the Motorway helpline 130 for direction or support during disruptions caused by fog.
According to Motorway Police, in order to maintain safety and control traffic flow when weather conditions change, monitoring teams are stationed on major roads.
