Russia-Pakistan relations are “genuinely mutually beneficial,” according to Putin.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, highlighted Moscow’s expanding engagement with Islamabad in a number of areas by characterizing Russia’s relations with Pakistan as “genuinely mutually beneficial.”

As a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the biggest regional organization in terms of human, scientific, and economic capacity, we continue to work closely with Pakistan. The Russian embassy in Pakistan cited President Putin as saying on X that “relations between Russia and Pakistan are genuinely mutually beneficial.”

The announcement was made during a ceremony on Thursday at Moscow’s Grand Kremlin Palace where Pakistan’s ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, formally gave President Putin his credentials.

Pakistan is a close partner of Russia, according to President Putin, who also noted that the two nations’ collaboration is growing gradually, especially in the areas of trade, diplomacy, education, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, railroads, industry, healthcare, and information technology.

He emphasized the increased cooperation between Russian and Pakistani enterprises and institutions, which reflects the two countries’ greater economic and political convergence.

Throughout the event, Ambassador Tirmizi sent the Russian leader heartfelt wishes and sentiments of goodwill from Pakistan’s Prime Minister, President, and people. At a time when bilateral ties are acquiring new pace in a number of strategic and economic areas, the exchange highlighted Islamabad’s intention to strengthen engagement with Moscow.
