Traffic on Punjab’s highways and motorways is hampered by dense fog.

Traffic movement on key motorways and national highways has been disrupted on Sunday due to dense fog that has drastically limited visibility in numerous Punjabi cities.

The M-2 motorway from Lahore to Kot Momin and the M-3 motorway from Faizpur to Samundri have been closed owing to poor visibility, according to motorway authorities. Vehicle entrance on the M-4 motorway between Shams Kot and Abdul Hakeem has also been suspended.

The Lahore–Sialkot motorway (M-11) has also been closed because of heavy fog, according to officials. Drivers have been instructed by Motorway Police to use fog lights and drive very carefully.

Meanwhile, air traffic has also been impacted by hazy weather. Seven local and foreign flights have been delayed owing to poor visibility, according to the authorities.

In order to prevent accidents, Motorway Police have advised the public to abstain from needless travel during foggy circumstances and to adhere to safety regulations.
