Heartbroken Karachi shopkeepers call for a more intensive rescue effort

There is no indication that the enormous plaza fire that devastated everyone will be put out anytime soon.

Even though the fire has been burning for more than eight hours, it doesn’t seem likely that the firefighters will soon declare that they have extinguished it.

In interviews with the media, traders expressed concern about the lack of resources to contain the massive fire that claimed the lives of innocent people.

Tanveer Qasim, president of the Gul Plaza Traders Association, expressed his sorrow over the deaths caused by the fire in an interview with Dunya News.

“No one is concerned about property; who will make up for the lives lost?” There are worries that a large number of individuals are stuck inside the structure. Additionally, we are unable to get in touch with our twelve employees,” he stated.

“We do not care about the property, but who will compensate for the loss of life?” he added, adding that the fire had cost billions of rupees.
When Tanveer Qasim expressed his grief over the deaths, he was overcome with emotion.

It should be mentioned that the fire that started in Karachi’s Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road is still out of control.

The tragedy has resulted in five confirmed deaths, over 20 injuries, and multiple persons trapped within the structure.
