The NA speaker cautions against making anti-state statements in parliament.

Speaking at the National College of Arts (NCA) here on Saturday, National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq made it plain that remarks disparaging the nation, the judiciary, the function of judges, or Pakistan’s military will never be permitted in the House.

He emphasised that any criticism of Pakistan’s military was inappropriate and made it clear that only conversations that completely adhere to the law and the constitution would be allowed, according to a news release.

The National Assembly speaker made it clear that anyone criticising Pakistan would not be permitted to voice their opinions there. He stated that although he was not affiliated with either the administration or the opposition, he would carry out his responsibilities as speaker impartially in compliance with the National Assembly’s Rules of Procedure and the Constitution.

He added that although everyone has the democratic right to protest, it must be nonviolent. Arson, property damage, and vandalism were all out of the question.

He described the use of weapons and sticks as concerning and stated that they seriously jeopardise the rule of law.

According to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, he often consults with the prime minister, who has never prevented him from using his constitutional powers.

He claimed that Pakistan’s economy was steadily growing, which was unmistakable proof of its stability. He said that the United States, China, Russia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are among the important friendly nations with whom Pakistan has good and cordial ties.

“Combating illegal elements is a shared responsibility of the state and the public in order to steer the country towards development and prosperity,” the NA speaker stated.

“National College of Arts is a prestigious institution of higher learning, which has established a unique identity at both national and international levels,” he declared.

He praised the NCA students’ research-based creative work and stated that the young people enrolled there were a great asset to the country because they were succeeding in a variety of sectors.
