Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has declared the creation of 994,036 jobs and employment opportunities throughout the province since February 2024.

A post on her X account indicates that 315,536 employment were created through government recruitment, institutional reforms, and the expansion of public services, including Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics, schools, and the Saaf Punjab initiative.

SME finance under the Asaan Karobar plan generated an additional 203,000 jobs, while 475,500 direct and indirect jobs were associated with housing, infrastructure, and various development initiatives, including the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme.

Maryam Nawaz asserted that the Punjab administration is dedicated to poverty reduction, inclusive economic advancement, and the provision of sustainable employment opportunities for the province’s populace.
