The Iranian diplomat expresses gratitude to Pakistan for taking a moral stand in Geneva.

Reza Amiri Moghaddam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its unwavering support of Iran and its ethical stance before the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Pakistan voted against an anti-Iranian resolution in the UN Human Rights Council, the Iranian ambassador stated in a statement. He commended Pakistan’s moral leadership under the direction of Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He added that Pakistan’s political and unfounded measures against Iran had failed for the third time in a row and that the country showed courage by calling for a vote on what he called an illegitimate resolution against Iran.

The 12-day aggression, externally sponsored disturbances, and attempts to abuse international institutions have all failed, according to the Iranian envoy. According to him, Pakistan’s backing demonstrates its dedication to national sovereignty, justice, human rights, and multilateralism.

Iran would always remember and value Pakistan’s steadfast and moral support, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam added.
