As rain and snowfall are predicted for KP, PDMA issues an alert.

A weather advisory was released on Friday by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which predicted further rainfall throughout the province and snowfall in the upper districts between January 25 and 27.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has identified a new westerly weather system that is expected to impact the majority of the province between January 25 and 27, according to PDMA.
Rain and snowfall are predicted for upper districts, such as Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, and other high-altitude areas; substantial snowfall may occur in some places, resulting in a considerable drop in temperature.
In the meantime, there will likely be a lot of rain along with thunder and lightning in lower, plain regions like Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, and Kohat.
In tourist and hilly locations including Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, and Chitral, PDMA issued a warning that rainfall and snowfall could result in slick roads and potential closures.
The authorities also issued a warning about the possibility of landslides and avalanches in the upper districts as a result of the ongoing rain and snow, instructing careful observation of nullahs and fragile streams in sensitive locations.
