In Hyderabad, a car collides with a truck, killing eight members of the family.

A car collided with a truck in Hyderabad on Friday night, killing at least eight members of the same family, including women and children, and injuring two more.

Eight persons were killed instantly and two more were injured in the horrific accident that happened at Kotri Site Road when a car struck a truck from behind while it was driving. The unfortunate family was traveling from Hyderabad to Thatta.

After receiving information, police and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and took the injured and dead to Hyderabad’s Civil Hospital. According to rescue reports, several of the remains were removed from the car wreckage using machinery.

According to police sources, the deceased were identified as Tora Bibi, age 10, Shah Zaib, age 7, Alam Khan, age 5, Ghulam Haider, age 50, Raza Khan, age 45, Samina, age 40, Saili, age 45, and Janat Bibi, age 5.

In the meantime, police have begun an investigation and detained the truck driver on the spot.
