MQM calls for an impartial investigation into the Gul Plaza fire.

In a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the chairman of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, urged the establishment of an unbiased, high-level committee to look into the Gul Plaza fire disaster.
Siddiqui demanded in his letter that the probe commission include several organizations, including FIA, NAB, and NDMA. In order to protect human remains and priceless possessions, he further underlined the necessity for the federal government and law enforcement organizations to assume control of rescue and relief efforts right away.
In order to assist the relatives of the victims and those impacted, the letter further calls for the creation of a federal relief and rehabilitation fund.
It emphasizes how the disaster has affected more than 12,000 families personally, with many persons still unaccounted for seven days later and family members unable to retrieve their loved ones’ bodies.
Siddiqui emphasized that the deaths and monetary losses were directly caused by the Sindh government, local authorities, and pertinent ministries.
He charged that the Sindh government, the mayor of Karachi, SBCDA, and other organizations had handled the matter with egregious carelessness.
