Imran Khan declines to assist in the X account inquiry, NCCIA informs IHC.

The National Counter-Cyber Intelligence Agency (NCCIA) has presented a report to the Islamabad High Court indicating that PTI founder Imran Khan is not complying with the current probe into his social media accounts.
The report was submitted on Imran Khan’s appeal to suspend his X (previously Twitter) account. The NCCIA apprised the court of the particulars regarding the ongoing investigation into his account.
The report indicates that two distinct investigations have been launched about tweets disseminated from Imran Khan’s X account. Both queries were submitted to NCCIA on May 19 and September 13, 2024, and are now unresolved.
NCCIA officials allegedly conducted several visits to Adiala Jail during the investigation but could not ascertain who oversees the former prime minister’s X account. The agency reported that Imran Khan declined to offer any help or reveal the identity of those managing his social media accounts.
Imran Khan declines to disclose the identity of his X account administrator.
The report indicated that despite numerous inquiries concerning the functioning of his X account, Imran Khan refused to participate, resulting in the probe being unresolved.
