The government dismisses reports regarding the evacuation of Tirah Valley as misleading.

The federal government has dismissed all circulating news claims on social media as misleading and unfounded, asserting that there is no order for the evacuation of Tirah Valley by the army or the federal government.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a clarification via social media, stating that the government is aware of erroneous news reports alleging that the Tirah Valley is being evacuated under military directives.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that these assertions are unfounded, malicious, and manufactured for ulterior motives, intending to incite fear and panic among the populace, disseminate false information on security services, and fulfill personal and political agendas.

The ministry confirmed that no directive has been issued by the federal government or the armed forces to evacuate the Tirah Valley.

The Ministry of Information states that law enforcement forces consistently act against terrorists only based on intelligence, ensuring that the lives of residents are not impacted during these operations.

No population transfer or migration is necessary for these operations, nor is any such action being undertaken.

The ministry indicated that the local populace is expressing apprehension regarding the presence of Khawarij and desires peace and stability in Tirah.

The Relief, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government issued a notification on December 26, 2025, releasing a fund apparently totaling Rs4 billion.

This sum has been reserved in expectation of possible, transient, and voluntary population relocations from specific regions of Tirah (Bagh) to facilitate proactive preparation and relief initiatives, encompassing transportation, food distribution, financial aid, and the creation and administration of temporary housing and registration facilities.
The paper underlined that, according to the Deputy Commissioner of Khyber, the proposed voluntary evacuation aligns with the thoughts and desires of the local populace, as expressed during a representative jirga convened at the district level.

This method considers climatic conditions, administrative facilities, and other local aspects, and will be executed without camps.
The ministry asserts that any media statements from the provincial administration or its officials associating this displacement with the armed forces are entirely untrue, fraudulent, and malicious.

Such assertions are made for political advantage and seek to discredit the security agencies, which is quite lamentable.
